Aladin’s team will repaint the damaged portions of the walls where their posters had been put up
The protest against Aladin posters being put up on the graffiti wall painted for the Wall Project, on Senapati Bapat Marg, has now led Aladin’s team to rectify their mistake. The posters were pulled off, but the wall had already been damaged.
So, director Sujoy Gosh, music directors Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani and the lead pair Ritesh Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez have decided to repaint the wall where the movie posters were put up. The team will paint the wall today.
The posters were immediately removed when the complaint from concerned citizens reached the producers. Director Sujoy Ghosh commented on the incident, “We don’t know who put up the posters on these walls.
I completely agree that it was wrong. It is unfortunate that our film posters were put up there. We thought that we should make up for the damage. Then one of the guys in the team suggested that we should repaint the walls and Vishal agreed as well.”
Sujoy also apologised for the mistake, “We are sorry for the inconvenience. If I had it my way, this would never have happened.”
Being beautiful may not always work in your favour. This ringed true for Bipasha while she was shooting for her film
LAMHAA in Kashmir.
It so happened that during her shoot in Kashmir the security around her was so tight that she was completely surrounded by the men in uniform. With the beauty surrounded by the men, the situation became a bit intimidating for the actress and her discomfiture was quite vivid in her expression.
Sensing the predicament of his actress, the producer of the film Bunty Walia came to Bips rescue and ordered the security to leave her alone.
Speaking about the incident, Walia says, “Actually, it was after a long time that a full fledged shooting of such a large scale was happening in Kashmir. So, the crowds used to gather whenever we went out to shoot. Consequently our security was also beefed up to deal with the swelling crowds that used to throng the sets. On this particular day, when Bipasha was surrounded by security men, I could sense her discomfort at this heightened security blanket around her and had to intervene. Finally, the actress breathed a sigh of relief when the security around her was relaxed.”
LAMHAA is one of the few films that has been shot in Kashmir over the years and is slated to release early next year.

How far could a producer go in taking care of the wishes of the leading lady of his film? Well, he could at least gift a new mobile phone. This is exactly what producer Ajay Devgan has done for Bipasha Basu who has just finished shooting for Ajay Devgan’s comedy ‘All The Best’ in Goa this week.
Bipasha had worked really hard with most sincere efforts for Ajay’s film. She not only worked late at night and early in the mornings, she also kept the phone switched off during the shooting thus cutting off from everyone including beau John Abraham who has hurt his legs. Bipasha also agreed to do an additional role in ‘All The Best’ without extra charges. When Ajay came to know that Bips wanted a Blackberry phone, he thought it would be just the right move to show his appreciation for her dedication.
Says the actress, “Yeah, Ajay knew I wanted it. In fact it was he who got me interested in. It is actually a gift in appreciation for working long hours and changing at lightning speed between shots when we had loads of work to finish. Ajay is a fabulous producer and co-star.”
Bipasha is all ga-ga for her new phone and says, “I love it! I’m going totally crazy with it. Though I’ve no numbers on it and am trying to figure it out, I just can’t get enough of it.”
From Zeenat Aman to Madhuri Dixit, from Nandita Das to Jiah Khan, this superstar has worked with actresses of every decade, has done over 150 films in more than 30 years and is still on top of the list of preferences for every film maker.. He is magnificence personified , the BIG “B” of Bollywood, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.
Belonging to a creatively inclined family of Allahabad, Amitabh was born to renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan on October 11th 1942. Amitabh went to Sherwood College, in Nainital, and then to Kirori Mal College,Delhi where he earned a double MA.
This eldest son of the Bachchan family was initially a theatre actor and a radio announcer before he landed in Mumbai (then Bombay) to fulfill his dreams. He had to struggle quite a lot due to his unconventional height (6’3”) and looks which most film makers found unsuitable for films. At last, his determination and sincerity got him his 1st film “Saat Hindustani” in 1969. But this film flopped miserably.
“Pyar Ki Kahani” was the first film in which Amitabh did the lead role. Gradually people had started noticing him as an actor but he was still to far from stardom. On the sets of “ek nazar” in 1972, he met Jaya Bhaduri ( now Bachchan) and they fell in love with each other. Soon after that they got married.
Amitabh’s 13th film,Zanjeer, was definitely the landmark film in his career which catapaulted him to fame. This gave way to a galaxy of hits. Lawaris, Muquadar Ka Sikandar, Namak Halal, Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke, Don, Roti Kapda Aur MAkaan, Deewar, Shahenshah, Kabhie Kabhie and Silsila were instant hits one after another. From now on there was just no looking back for Mr. Bachchan. His “angry” roles in “Kaala Pathar” and “Trishul” got him the title of “Angry Young Man”.
Amitabh was in the peak of his career when his alleged link ups with Rekha hit the headlines. But this did not ruin the popularity he had already achieved.
In the last 10 years also, Amitabh has given more hits than any other bollywood actor. Films like Baghban, Mohobbatein, Khakee and Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gum showed the versatility of this legendary actor.
He was the 1st Indian to have a wax museum at Madamme Tussauds and on January 26, 2001 he was awarded the Padma Bhushan for his outstanding contributions to Indian Cinema. Being the highest paid actor, Amitabh is undoubtedly the Shahenshah of bollywood.
